In addition to comprehensive social and labour insurance and a generous vacation and leave system, RIKEN also offers employees several allowances.
Commuting Allowance
If you live more than 2 km from RIKEN and you commute using public transport, you may be eligible for a commuting allowance. The amount covered will be the least expensive route available, up ?? ???????? ??????? to a specified maximum.

Housing Allowance
Employees who live off-campus in housing that they do not own may be eligible for a monthly housing allowance, provided that the house or apartment is rented in the name of the employee. |
Overtime Allowance
Overtime allowance is paid to eligible employees who, in compliance with orders to do so, work in excess of regular working hours or on holidays. Managers, Visiting Scientists and employees working under the Discretionary Work System are not eligible for overtime payments.

Relocation Allowance
In certain (limited) situations, RIKEN may be able to reimburse you for you and your dependent family members' actual relocation costs (up to a specified maximum). |
