RIKEN employees who are members of the Science and Technology Health Insurance Society (STHIS) are eligible for free annual health checks. For a more thorough physical check, many hospitals offer a one-day physical called ningen dokku. This may be partly paid for by your insurance.
If you are not enrolled in STHIS, and you are enrolled in the National Health Insurance, you will also be entitled to a free annual health check.
