As well as the Post Office, there are lots of courier companies that provide delivery services within Japan and internationally. These may be useful if you need to send something urgently. One of the biggest companies is Yamato Transport (Takkyubin). They can come to pick up your items, or you can usually drop the items off at a convenience store. Payment on delivery is available. The ones below mainly offer international services.
