Career Support Office
The Career Support Office (CSO) provides career counseling, posts job notices for both inside and outside of RIKEN, and offers seminars and workshops on career enhancement and advancement. At the current time, most of this is in Japanese, but the office is working to expand its English-language support services and it will respond to email inquiries written in English. Information about the CSO's consultation procedures and job vacancy data are available via the RIKEN internal website.

Kanda Higashi Clinic
This clinic in Tokyo has a contract with RIKEN to provide free mental-health consultations by phone or email to employees at all campuses. For email consultations, in English or Japanese, you will receive a reply within 24 hours. Telephone consultations are available, in Japanese only, on weekdays from 12 pm to 6:30 pm. The consultation email address, telephone number, website and password are available to employees via the RIKEN internal website.

Internal Legal Advice Office
The Internal Legal Advice Office provides free advice from lawyers, or the staff in the Auditing and Compliance Office every Tuesday afternoon, and once a month in the evening, in the clinic building on the Wako campus. Contact details are available to employees via the RIKEN internal website. |
Advisor Program
Advisors who are fellow employees at RIKEN provide counseling regarding work, personal relationships, and other workplace-related matters. Contact details are available to employees via the RIKEN internal website. |
Sexual Harassment Advisor Program
Like the Advisor Program, the advisors in the Sexual Harassment Advisor Program are fellow employees. However, depending on the nature of the problem and provided that the person consulting the advisor consents, the problem may be handled jointly by the Auditing and Compliance Office. Never under any circumstances will problems be disclosed, and employees will never be treated unfavorably because of the fact that they have asked for counseling.
